Asunción, IP Agency.- The new shelter was enabled in an event that was attended by Vice President Pedro Alliana, the Minister of Health, María Teresa Barán, and the director of the Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY), Luis Benítez.
The Home for Older Adults was promoted by the Foundation of Redemptorists of Social and Educational Works (FROSEP) and was carried out with an investment from the EBY for G. 700 million.
The director of the binational, Luis Benítez, explained that the facilities of the Nursing Home meet international quality standards. “The place is a true paradise where the elderly can feel useful and live comfortably, in contact with nature.”
In addition to the adult home in Pilar, EBY supports the strengthening of elderly care homes in San Ignacio, Ayolas and Itapúa.
The president of the Foundation of Redemptorists of Social and Educational Works (FROSEP), Gianluigi Arofo, explained that in the space there were three cabins from the Agrarian School and with this investment there is a hostel that in its first stage will have 20 places .
“We want the elderly not to feel useless. They have a large place, the garden, animal husbandry and other activities to occupy their time,” the priest highlighted.
