They distribute drinking water to communities of Presidente Hayes and Boquerón

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Government, through the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), continues with the distribution of water to communities in the departments of Presidente Hayes and Boquerón, in the Paraguayan Chaco.

During the second week of October, a total of 630,000 liters of water were distributed, benefiting 1,416 families and children from various indigenous and rural communities, according to the MOPC report.

In the department of Presidente Hayes, the interventions covered several locations. In Pozo Colorado and its surroundings, including the Monte Alto indigenous community, 80,000 liters of water were delivered, benefiting 400 families.

As in the Pozo Colorado Hogar Mi Amigo boarding school, which received 20,000 liters of water to meet the needs of 150 children.

In addition, 40,000 liters of drinking water were provided to the community cistern and the area’s health center, using a tanker truck to supply 600 families. At the base of the Río Verde District, another 20,000 additional liters were delivered, benefiting another 100 families.

For its part, in Boquerón, the operations were concentrated in two main areas. In Philadelphia, 250,000 liters were delivered to the indigenous communities of 10 de Junio, Amistad, Jesubi and Santo Domingo, benefiting 32 families.

In Mariscal Estigarribia, 220,000 liters of water were supplied to the indigenous communities of Laguna Negra, Primavera, community 220, Santa Teresita, Campo Loa and D17, benefiting 67 families.
