Share your profile Instagram With someone it’s quite simple: just send your username (the one preceded by “@”) to another person so that they can find it by searching it in the social network’s search tool. But what if this ritual was a little more… ceremonious?

This is exactly the question that developers Meta must have done to themselves when creating Instagram’s newest feature: “Profile cards” (something like “profile cards”) — which are nothing more than virtual business cards, which can be completely personalized.

According to the The Vergethe new feature can be accessed by tapping the “Share profile” button, present just below the bio. These cards have two sides: one contains information such as the username of the respective profile, your photo, your pronouns and your bio; the other has a QR code that takes you to that account, a background image and, again, the username.

It is possible to change the color of the card, its background image and even add a song, which plays automatically whenever the resource is accessed — also being displayed on the front of the card. There are also shortcuts to share the card in Stories, send them to friends, get a profile link and more.

In addition to benefiting common users, the new feature is also a good addition for creators, who will be able to use these cards to share their profiles with other creators and companies in a more professional way.

To start editing your card, simply tap the pencil-shaped icon in the top corner of the screen. You can also use this shortcut to start editing the profile itself — which includes details like the profile photo, bio and more.

According to the information, the new feature has already started to be released globally to all users.
