The processes for the pre-publication of the action have been started by the competent services of the Ministry of National Economy and Finance and will be intensified once the outstanding issues with two other actions of the “Competitiveness – NSRF” program, which have already “run”, are closed.
The reason for the “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Small and Medium Enterprises (SME)” and the “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Small and Medium Tourism Enterprises”, with a total budget of 350 million euros.
The first action has a budget of 190 million euros. It concerns the strengthening of investment projects under establishment and newly established SME businesses (except for retail trade, catering and tourism KAD).
The subsidized budget ranges from 30,000 to 400,000 euros per investment project. The aid rate is uniform for all eligible costs of the investment projects and amounts to 45% of the subsidized budget. In fact, it can be increased by 10%, if the investment is made in a remote or fire-prone or flood-prone area or small islands. In addition, it can be increased by 5% by achieving the goal of employing at least 1 EME (Annual Work Unit) in the first year after the completion of the investment.
About 3,300 applications have been submitted by interested parties, while in October the evaluations will be completed and it is expected that the tables with the final beneficiaries will be announced, as reported in “ET”. competent sources from the ministry.
In the other action, “Strengthening the Establishment and Operation of New Small and Medium-Sized Tourism Enterprises”, with a budget of 160 million euros, the subsidy can reach up to 60% for the establishment and operation of new small- and medium-sized tourist enterprises.
It is aimed at established and newly established very small, small and medium enterprises, which will operate or are operating in the tourism sector.
The subsidized budget of the investment projects starts from 80,000 euros and reaches up to 400,000 euros. The percentage of support for funding applications is uniform for all eligible costs of the investment projects and is set at 45% of the subsidized budget. It can even be increased by 10% if the investment is made in a remote or fire- or earthquake- or flood-prone area or small islands. The aid can be increased by an additional 5% with the declaration when submitting the funding application of an employment target of at least 0.2 EME in the first year after the completion of the investment.
In the context of this action, approximately 7,000 applications have been submitted, the evaluation process has begun and it is estimated that it will be completed in December, so that the lists of aid beneficiaries will then be announced.
In the meantime, at the end of November, the Monitoring Committee (it monitors the implementation and progress of the “Competitiveness 2021-2027” program) will be held in our country, where the Greek authorities will inform the community members about the developments in the above actions.
