FOUR Israeli soldiers were killed and more than 60 people were injured after a drone attack by Hezbollah on a military base near the Israeli town of Binyamina, 40 miles south of the Lebanese border.
The IDF said that in addition to the four people killed, seven soldiers were seriously injured when a UAV launched as part of a drone strike by Hezbollah managed to evade Israel’s air defense system. A total of 61 people were injured in the attack.
In addition to the drones, the Lebanese militant group launched rockets at other cities in northern Israel, including Nahariya and Acre, in an attempt to trigger the defense system.

“The drone bypassed Israel’s defense radar without being detected and reached its target at the elite Golani Brigade training camp in Binyamina,” Hezbollah said.
The Golani Brigade has been deployed in southern Lebanon, where Israel has launched ground operations.
The drone attack came the same weekend that Hezbollah launched more than 300 projectiles into northern Israel during Yom Kippur, an important Jewish holiday. The Lebanese militant group claimed that they targeted a gathering of Israeli enemy forces.
The Pentagon also announced on Sunday that the US Department of Defense would deploy an advanced air defense system and US troops to operate it to Israel. (Washington Examiner/Z-2)
