Xiaomi 15 Ultra is to get a periscopic telephoto lens with a tremendous resolution – SMARTmania.cz
  • Xiaomi is preparing an uncompromisingly equipped photomobile with two telephoto lenses
  • The primary one should boast a high resolution of 200 megapixels and 4.6x zoom capability
  • The premiere of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will most likely take place at the beginning of next year

Xiaomi will soon introduce its new line of flagship smartphones Xiaomi 15. Initially, it will consist of two models – the basic Xiaomi 15 and the more equipped Xiaomi 15 Pro, later the top variant Xiaomi 15 Ultra should be added to them. Although the Ultra model will probably not arrive until next year, an Ice Universe whistleblower is already teasing its capabilities.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra: periscopic camera with a resolution of 200 megapixels

Xiaomi has never held back its Ultra smartphones, on the contrary – it has “crammed” into them the best available hardware, led by uncompromising photo equipment. The next generation will be no different, at least according to Ice Universe.

According to his information, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will boast a periscopic telephoto lens with a resolution of 200 megapixels. Until now, manufacturers used sensors with such a high resolution only for main cameras, and the Vivo X200 Pro smartphone introduced yesterday broke the ice, which manages 3.7x optical and up to 100x digital zoom at f/2.7 lens aperture. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra should be a bit better, its 200MP telephoto lens should be capable of 4.6x zoom at f/2.6 aperture.

In addition, the upcoming phone is not supposed to get one telephoto lens, but two. The latter should be the same as in the case of the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro models, i.e. a 50 Mpx sensor with 3x optical zoom capability. The photo lineup will then be complemented by a classic and wide-angle camera, their resolution is unknown at the moment.

Don’t overlook

Xiaomi 14 Ultra in the hands of a professional photographer. How did one of today’s TOP photomobiles fare?

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will undoubtedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which will be unveiled next week at the traditional Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii. This chip will make its debut in the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro smartphones, which should be revealed shortly afterwards. We’ll have to wait a bit longer for the Ultra variant, probably until next year. For example, this year’s Xiaomi 14 Ultra model was introduced on February 22 in China, and three days later it went to the global market.

Ladies and gentlemen, gather round as we delve into the fascinating world of smartphone wizardry and the marvel that is the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Now, if you thought your phone was just good for scrolling endless TikTok videos and ignoring your ex’s messages, think again! Because with this beauty, your phone might just outshine your camera, and at this rate, your relatives might actually demand to be photographed with it instead of your old, iconic Polaroid!

Now, let’s get to the juicy bits! Xiaomi, that tech-savvy wizard of the East, is whipping up something that makes the ordinary smartphone look like a potato with wifi. Their upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra is set to feature two telephoto lenses—oh yes, not just one, but TWO! A bit like having two exes! One for all the sweet memories and the other to remind you of your questionable choices.

The main attraction? A staggering 200 megapixel telephoto lens, boasting a zoom capability of 4.6x! That’s right—200 megapixels! That’s more resolution than I have on my Tinder profile picture, and trust me, that’s saying something! With this camera, you could take a photo of your distant crush and spot a little piece of spinach stuck in their teeth from 50 yards away. But honestly, who needs "Zoom" when you’ve got a Xiaomi phone?

And just when you thought that wasn’t enough, there’s another telephoto lens with 50 megapixels and a 3x optical zoom. You could practically zoom in to check if your neighbor’s dog is pee-ing on your lawn. If this phone had a personality, it would undoubtedly be the overachieving cousin that constantly reminds you how much smarter they are!

Now, of course, we can’t talk about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra without mentioning the engine under the hood. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset—you know, that little gem that ensures you can scroll through Instagram faster while simultaneously Googling “how to stop being a procrastinator.” Honestly, they should just make procrastination an Olympic sport at this point!

Xiaomi has a history of unleashing their Ultra line-ups with peak equipment, and frankly, it shows. They’re not just throwing a couple of cameras on a phone and calling it a day. No, they want you to feel like the world-class photographer you’re definitely not!

The kick-off for all this marvel awaits at the beginning of next year—a glamorous unveiling that I can already hear the tech fanatics buzz about! I mean, surely, we’ll all have to brave the elements and get out of our pajamas for an event of such magnitude. It will likely be as crowded as a concert featuring someone who was relevant in the early 2000s!

Lastly, let’s not forget the trust meter—you know, the gauge that tells you just how much you should rely on these rumors. Because in the tech world, if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that the “leaks” often carry more water than my morning coffee.

To sum it up, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is shaping up to be more than just a pretty face; it promises to be a power-packed device that could very well render your regular camera obsolete. It’s like a perfect blend of beauty and brains—kind of like that friend who always wins trivia night but still can’t find their way out of a paper bag.

In short, folks, if you’re looking for a phone that makes you feel like you’re living in a sci-fi movie while capturing every moment of your gloriously mundane life—from cat pictures to dinner selfies—this could just be the one for you. Just remember to watch out for those unexpected zooms!
