Giorgos Zygouris, was elected a year ago to the office, in the last months he was fighting a hard and painful battle.
As reported by epiruspost.gr, in the early hours of Tuesday, in the hospital where he was being treated and at the age of 60, he breathed his last.
He was born in Gorgomylos of Preveza, in the Municipality of Ziros. He finished school in Philippiada and studied at the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras in the Department of Civil Engineering.
He served his military service in the Corps of Engineers and the 733rd Military Works Directorate.
Since 1990, when he returned to Philippiada, he maintained a Civil Engineering Technical Office with activities such as studies, supervision of Civil Engineering projects, issuance of building permits, compilation of topographical diagrams, national land registry, etc.
He held a Research degree and was a Certified Selective Investment Member of the National Register of Certified Auditors of the Ministry of Finance.
