MUHADKLY Makkatutu Temmalengkang or known as Muhadkly Acho, a filmmaker and standup comedian who is the director of the film Agak Laen, said he is currently preparing a sequel to the film.

However, he has not yet decided on the story idea or what the follow-up film to the story of the four friends will be like, which recorded an audience of more than 9 million.

“There is no script for Agak Laen 2 yet and there is no story idea either. Let’s just relax. “What if God gives you an idea,” he said on YouTube Kaks Production.

Furthermore, because of the success of the first Agak Laen film, Acho said that many people doubted the success of the second film.

In fact, many people feel that the sequel film will not be able to record a fantastic audience like the success of the first film.

“I was teased that the film Rather Laen 2 might not have many viewers, at least not more than half. “I said thank God, thank you for praying for half of it,” said the 40-year-old man.

Acho actually did not make a sequel to the film Rather Laen to burden himself. The reason is, he feels that the success of a film cannot only be seen based on the audience, and he is also more concerned that the film he will make does not make a loss.

“This Laen 2 is not a burden. If I’m the important one, we don’t lose, we gain. I think a film that can make 9 million or even 10 million like KKN in the dancing village is not a cycle that can happen every 2-3 years,” Acho explained.

He also shared that he has a film that he really likes even today. The film is Jomblo which was released in 2006.

According to him, the film by veteran director Hanung Bramantyo is very good and also has similarities with his personal experience.

“The film that influenced me was the film Jomblo. I even read the book too. It’s true what people say, there are no good or bad films, there are only films that relate to us. Singles really relate to me. So the four of me lived in college, one of the four people loved the same woman and he married one of them. When the film Jomblo was shown we saw an incident that was exactly the same as our condition. I cried,” he said.

“Personally, Singles is Hanung Bramantyo’s funniest film. I can’t find any flaws in the film. Funny, relatable for me, good dialogue, good drama, good message for relationships. “In this Jomblo film, the dialogue level is quite high for a film but not too high for everyday dialogue,” stressed Acho.
