CHAIRMAN of the PKS Syuro Council Salim Segaf Al-Jufri revealed the reasons for his party joining the Prabowo-Gibran government. Salim admitted that his party joined the government to strengthen national unity and integrity, as well as national political stability in facing challenges from within and outside the country.
He admitted that to advance the nation and state, cooperation from all components of the nation is needed. “To realize the ideals of the nation’s founders in this very diverse country, it is impossible to be managed by just one or two groups.
But all components of the nation must work together. “With sincere intentions, hearts that truly have extraordinary desires, together we face these problems,” said Salim, in Jakarta, Friday (11/10).

Salim also saw that the current world conditions with the Russian and Ukrainian wars, as well as Israeli aggression against Palestine, require strong leadership to play a role in creating peace and maintaining national political stability. He wants Indonesian leaders to get involved and he thinks that Prabowo as President of the Republic of Indonesia is capable of doing this.
“As a large nation territorially, in terms of population in terms of natural wealth, yes, we want our nation to be a leader in the region, a leader in the region. And I see, I see this from a long journey, Mr. Prabowo Subianto is able to become a leader in this region ,” he said.
“Especially if there is peace around many points in this world. In fact, we hope that this nation will also work hard to realize the independence of our brothers and sisters in Palestine and that is already in our constitution,” he added.
A number of reasons made PKS decide to join the Prabowo-Gibran government in the next five years. “So that’s what makes us enthusiastic about joining together in the government of Mr. President, Mr. Prabowo Subianto,” he said. (Faj/I-2)
