Pakistan Cricket Board media manager Ahsan Iftikhar has told Independent Urdu that ‘Visas have been issued to the Pakistan cricket team for the ICC World Cup.’

The ICC Cricket World Cup is going to start from October 5. In the first match of the World Cup, defending champion England will face New Zealand.

Pakistan Cricket Team will begin their journey in the Cricket World Cup in India with a warm-up match against New Zealand.

This warm-up match between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played in Hyderabad on September 29.

Apart from this, Pakistan will also play another warm-up match against Australia on October 3.

Pakistan will play its first international match against Netherlands in Hyderabad on October 6.

The Pakistan squad for the World Cup was announced on Friday, October 22.

According to the announced squad, Babar Azam will lead the team in the World Cup while Shadab Khan has been retained as the vice-captain.

Fast bowler Naseem Shah is not a part of the World Cup squad due to injury, while Hasan Ali has been included in the squad in his place.

Speaking to reporters on Monday before going to India for the World Cup, Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf said, ‘We will miss Naseem Shah but Hasan Ali is a great bowler and played a lot of cricket together. We trust them.’

He added regarding Hasan Ali that ‘we are hopeful for his best return.’

“I have to bowl with the new ball or the old ball, it’s not in my hands, but it doesn’t matter,” Haris Rauf added in a press conference on Monday.

“We accept the challenge we get and try to give our best,” he said.

All-rounder Salman Ali Agha, who is part of the Pakistan squad, says, “Like everyone else, it is my childhood dream to play the World Cup, which is now going to be fulfilled.”

Salman Ali Agha also said in a press conference on Monday that ‘our performance in the Asia Cup was not as it should have been which is disappointing but the morale of the team is high at the moment.’
