I’m changing a water heater”: When do the results come out?

Within the week, as everything seems, they are expected to be announced results for solar water heaters.

According to information, the preliminary list of beneficiaries (and runners-up) is about to be issued within the week. As is known, the list will be created with the hierarchical ranking of the applications, based on a series of income and social criteria.

Applicants will then be given a period of 10 days to submit any objections, which will then be considered. This will pave the way for the final ranking list of applications to be issued around mid-July and the first vouchers for beneficiaries to start being issued.

What does the program cover?

The “Recycle – Change water heater” Program grants households for:

replacement of energy-consuming Electric Heaters, with new modern technology Solar Water Heaters, with parallel recycling of the old water heaters that are being replaced.

Beneficiaries and subsidy amounts

The program subsidy will range from 50 to 60% (i.e. 510 to 904 euros) and will be provided voucher checkwhich each beneficiary will be able to redeem at a supplier of their choice, with income criteria and on the condition of withdrawing the existing electric water heater.

It is also pointed out that the electricity consumption for the use of hot water for all those who join the program is estimated at 120,000 households and that it will be reduced by approximately 65%.

Depending on which income category a beneficiary belongs to, the subsidy starts from 510 and reaches up to 900 euros, covering up to 60% of the household expenditure. In fact, the solar installation works are also subsidized.

However, in order to receive the subsidy, the beneficiaries will also have to retire their old electric water heater, which must exceed 40 liters in capacity. Also, the electrical device should be in working order, which will be verified by visual inspection.
