Prabowo’s Ministerial Reunion: A High Stakes Dinner Party
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – In a scene reminiscent of a high-stakes dinner party that you never quite wanted to be invited to, President-Elect Prabowo Subianto rolled out the red carpet for an impressive guest list of 49 political heavyweights at his Kertanegara residence today, Monday (14/10/2024). Seemingly straight out of a political soap opera, the stakes couldn’t be higher!
Old Faces and New Alliances
Gather ‘round folks—it’s a gathering of familiar faces, many of whom have previously graced the cabinets of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin. As Prabowo stands tall at the head of this political table, will he be carving up the cake with his knife sharpened by weeks of monitoring and secret discussions? Or will he be serving up a hefty dose of ambition mixed with well-practiced politeness?
Rumor has it, while some candidates strutted out their willingness to join his cabinet like proud peacocks, a few others appeared a tad more reticent—perhaps suffering from ‘shy politician syndrome?’ It’s like a dance-off where some prefer the moonwalk, and others just wish they could blend in with the wallpaper.
Prabowo: The Optimist
As he faced the media outside, Prabowo declared, “Thank God, everyone said they were able,” as if he were announcing an all-you-can-eat buffet rather than a political alliance. With a confident smile, he reassured the gathered media that all prospective ministers and heads of institutions had proclaimed their willingness to assist in setting up his cabinet. I mean, who wouldn’t want a job with “Minister” in the title? It’s like running for prom king but with a much larger budget!
Tomorrow’s Performance
But hold your horses, because according to Sufmi Dasco, the Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo isn’t done yet. No, no. Tomorrow (which is Tuesday, 15/10/2024), he’s planning to summon more deputy minister candidates and agency heads. It’s like a sequel to a blockbuster film—same cast, just more drama. Who wouldn’t want to stick around for round two?
The Guest List: A Political Who’s Who
Now, let’s unveil the VIP guest list for today’s tête-à-tête. We’ve got an eclectic mix of politicians, former ministers, and representatives from various parties. A smorgasbord that could feed both ambitions and egos! Here are some highlights:
No. | Name | Position |
---|---|---|
1 | Prasetyo Hadi | Chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP |
2 | Sugiono | Deputy Chairman of Gerindra |
3 | Widiyanti Putri Wardhana | Wife of former Indika Energy Director |

5 | Yandri Susanto | Deputy General Chair of PAN |
6 | Fadli Zon | Deputy General Chair of the Gerindra Party |
7 | Nusron Wahid | Golkar Politician |
8 | Sri Mulyani | Minister of Finance |
Conclusion: Will They Dance or Stumble?
So the stage is set! With Prabowo at the helm, we find ourselves at a critical junction where alliances are forged, and political futures hang in the balance. Will tomorrow’s gathering yield more “yes men,” or will there be a few surprises that might leave the audience gasping in shock? Stay tuned, folks! After all, in politics, the only thing more unpredictable than the weather is the dance moves of those in power!
