Israel sets targets in its expected response to the Iranian attack

Israel – The American television network NBC reported yesterday, Saturday, that American officials expressed their belief that Israel has identified targets in its expected response to the recent Iranian attack. The network also quoted Israeli and American officials that “the response may come during the current Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.” .

The report, citing unnamed American officials, said: “There is no indication that Israel will target nuclear facilities or carry out assassinations,” adding that Israel has not made final decisions on how and when to respond.

On the other hand, the Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf, confirmed that his country did not and will not want to expand the war in the region, but it will certainly respond to any attack on the country forcefully and appropriately, warning the countries of the region against allowing their airspace and lands to be used as a launching pad for attacks on Iran.

Qalibaf said in press statements during his visit to Lebanon: “We announced many times that we did not and will not want to expand the war, but we will certainly respond to any attack on our country forcefully and appropriately, and we showed this clearly previously and I hope this will be a lesson for our enemies.”

He added: “We do not understand what it means for the response to be within the controls and frameworks, and we will not leave any attack on our country without a response. Our response in (The True Promise 2) was military, as we targeted military, intelligence, and security sites only in the Israeli entity.”

The Iranian official continued, “We have repeatedly said that the airspace and lands of neighboring countries must not be used as a starting point for an attack on our country. If that happens, our response will be clear and natural, as we will certainly respond to any place from which an attack on Iran begins, and we are confident that our neighbors in the Middle East will take into account… They have committed to this in the past, and we have peace relations with all countries of the region.”
