US politicians approved resolution to “reimpose sanctions on Maduro”

The Republican Committee on Foreign Affairs of the US House of Representatives ruled on the arrest warrants against seven members of Vente Venezuela (VV), which were announced by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab.

Through a statement, the Republican Committee condemned “the harassment of María Corina Machado, and her team.” Given this, they held a meeting this Thursday, March 21, where they approved a resolution “to reimpose sanctions on the Nicolás Maduro regime.”

These arrest warrants are directed at Oswald Bracho, Pedro Urruchurtu, Omar Gonzalez, Humberto Villalobos, Claudia Macero, Fernando Martinez Motola and Magalli Meda.

Furthermore, these arrest warrants were announced the same day that the head of the Vente Venezuela formation, Henry Alviárez, and the political secretary, Dignora Hernández, were arrested.

Tarek William Saab, reported the arrest of Alviarez and Hernandez for its alleged connection with violent plans related to the July elections, in which Maduro will seek a third consecutive six-year term in power.

Saab assured that those captured were planning “violent actions” to “force” the registration of Machado’s candidacy. who is subject to a sanction that prevents him from competing for popularly elected positions.

To date, there are seven VV leaders detained in the last two months, while the Prosecutor’s Office announced today the arrest request against the party’s communications chief, Claudia Macero, and former deputy Omar González Moren, among other leaders.
