Mazda is extending it – by exactly 25 centimeters

The Japanese car manufacturer Mazda is extending it: the new CX-80 has increased by exactly 25 centimeters compared to the Mazda CX-60 unveiled in 2022 – both in terms of exterior length and wheelbase. Consequently, the space gained in this way benefits the passengers. Specifically, the new Mazda CX-80 is available with six or seven seats.

There are a total of three configurations to choose from – the second row of seats always differs: the seven-seater version has a three-seater bench seat in the second row. The six-seater version has two options: two individual seats in the second row and a passage in the middle or two individual seats and a center console in between. Both the bench and the individual seats can be moved lengthwise (120 millimeters); The angle of the seat backs can also be adjusted.

The trunk volume is as variable as the interior. If all seven seats are occupied, there is still 258 liters of volume available to fill. If the two rear seats are folded down, the trunk volume increases to 687 liters. There are 1971 liters when seats three to six/seven are folded down.

Mazda takes a two-pronged approach to drive systems: Firstly, it offers a plug-in hybrid with a system output of 241 kW/327 hp and a purely electric range of 60 kilometers. Prices for the part-time electric car start at 60,000 euros.
