The Jakarta Nyala Women’s MOVEMENT (Gemala) accommodates a number of aspirations from young groups, especially women regarding their hopes for the candidate for Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno.

Pramono’s youngest daughter, Hanifa Fadhila Pramana, who took part in running the movement, revealed that the aspirations received were written down in a book containing their notes.

Later, the aspirations collected will be handed over to the candidate pair supported by PDIP and Hanura to be included in a program to be implemented if they win the Jakarta Pilkada.

“Participants who attended conveyed their aspirations and these will be conveyed directly to Mas Pram and Bang Doel. There are approximately 200 aspirations that we accommodate. From those related to issues with women, but also things such as traffic jams, floods, transportation, children young people in particular, and so on,” said Dhila when met in the Tebet area, South Jakarta, Sunday (13/10).

Since the start of his regional election candidacy, Dhila admitted that Pramono was not yet known to many young voters. Therefore, Dhila views that activities to accommodate aspirations like this can bridge the realization of young people’s hopes for future leaders in Jakarta.

“Mr (Pramono) is well aware that he is little known among Gen Z and millennials. That’s why he asked me and other Gen Z friends for help to form platforms so that the aspirations of Gen Z and millennials can be heard, and also become a platform so that you can get to know many Gen Z and millennials,” he said.

On the same occasion, the Head of Youth for the Pramono-Rano winning team, Agustina Hermanto or Tina Toon, said that her party had received a lot of input regarding problems in Jakarta.

Some of these include increasing the representation of women in government and the legislature, to gender equality in workforce recruitment in government agencies.

Tina, who is also a member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the PDIP faction, admitted that the aspirations absorbed will also be expressed in policy formulation by the DKI Provincial Government and the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

“If it’s like this, we will immediately hear it. Oh, you know there is this problem. Actually, the government’s job is to solve it using the existing policies and budget,” said Tina.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Secretary of the Pramono-Rano winning team, Ima Mahdiah, believes that dialogue that accommodates aspirations like this is an effective way to get the majority of young voters’ votes for Pramono-Rano during the next voting.

Bearing in mind, in the survey results last September, the votes of young voters, especially Gen Z, had not been concentrated on Pramono-Rano.

“That was September before the debate, right, before yesterday’s debate. But I think this October is underway. I’m sure Gen Z or Gen Z millennial young people have started to change their choices towards Mas Pram and Bang Doel,” explained Ima.

“Because if you look at yesterday’s candidate pair debate, it’s clear which one has a clear program for young people,” he added. (Z-1)
