Luino, many events scheduled at Porto Chiara: quizzes, pizza, chess, music and Oktoberfest

Unpack the Delicious Shenanigans at Porto Chiara!

So, folks, from the 16th to the 2nd of November, the well-known Porto Chiara venue, located at Piazza Libertà 28 in Luino, is set to explode with flavors, challenges, and live music. It’s like a buffet of fun, minus the awkward family members! We’re talking food, games, and a chance to win something other than just another game of ‘not-alcoholic’ bingo.

The Line-Up: A Glorious Menagerie of Mischief

Wednesday, 16 October: Giro Pizza and Dr. Why

We kick things off on Wednesday night with “Giro Pizza” and everyone’s favorite trivia showdown, Dr. Why. The pizza will be the star of the show—sorry, pizza lovers, there’s no room for the salad at this party! Teams will battle it out in a quiz that’ll leave you questioning not just your knowledge but your friendships, too. Plus, cocktails! Because why not add a little liquid courage into the mix?

Thursday, 17 October: Chess Tournament

On Thursday, we pivot to something a little more cerebral (if that’s what you want to call it). It’s an amateur chess tournament where you’ll need to bring your A-game and probably some calming chamomile tea. With a registration fee of just 10 euros, you can prove your mental worth—and warm up with a pizza buffet. Because nothing says ‘I’m a strategic mastermind’ like a slice of pepperoni in your hand!

Friday, 18 October: Live Music & Dance

Now, Friday is bringing out the big guns! Starting from 8:30 PM, get ready to rock out with local band “2much”. If dinner and dancing make your heart race, you’re in for a treat. And the dynamism doesn’t stop until 1 AM, when the DJ takes over. Prepare your best moves as Porto Chiara transforms into the dance floor of your dreams. Just remember: nobody wants a dance-off with someone who thinks they can breakdance after two pints!

Sunday, 27 October: Oktoberfest!

And then…drum roll, please! The month wraps up in style with the unmissable Porto Chiara Oktoberfest. Grab your Lederhosen and let the good times roll starting at noon! Think party hats, party snacks, and enough beer to drown your worries. Your Sunday will be filled with a BBQ grill sizzling away and music to keep you groovin’! Seriously, who needs beer pong when you have beer steins?

Moving into November with a Twist

First Up: “Sung Dinner” on 2 November

As we enter November, brace yourself for the unusual: a “Sung Dinner” brought to you by the geniuses behind “Magic Nights.” Yes, you heard that right—dinner with songs! A DJ set will be there, probably singing those tunes that stick to your brain like citrus-scented glue. May the best performance win (and hopefully not embarrass any future life decisions)!

Why Porto Chiara?

Vincenzo De Marzo, Alessandro Romanò, and Mirko Folisi, the brains behind this fun fest, say it best: their goal is to give you “pleasant and carefree moments” to enjoy with friends and family. So, folks, clear your calendars, grab your mates, and get ready for a week that promises all the pizza, beer, and spontaneous revelry you can handle!
