According to the details given in the report: ‘The suicide blast took place in front of the guard room near the outer terminal of the Jinnah International Terminal. The police reached the spot after hearing the sound of the explosion.
It was further informed that in the explosion, three people including two Chinese citizens Li Jun and Sun Huazin lost their lives while more than 12 people including Waqar, Ilyas, Naeem, Rano Khan, Azim, Tariq, Ali, Hamza, Sabih were injured.

According to the report submitted by the CTD in the Anti-Terrorism Court, 15 vehicles were completely destroyed in the blast and a case of the incident was registered in the CTD police station under the charge of the Airport SHO. It added provisions including murder, attempted murder, assault, use of explosives and terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the death of Chinese citizens in the Karachi attack.
