“We are very pleased to be able to welcome Willi Wahlmüller, an experienced, success-hungry coach, to training starting tomorrow,” announces Donau sports director Andy Hofmann.
Wahlmüller celebrated his greatest success with Donaus Linzer Stadtivalen Blau-Weiß Linz: In the 2025/2016 season he became champion in the Regionalliga Mitte and led the Stahlstadtklub into the second highest division.
Hofmann and Wahlmüller have already worked together once: “I was able to get to know and appreciate him for a total of five years as a great specialist at the then training club Union St. Florian, and he also reached seventh place in the 2nd Bundesliga with Vorwärts Steyr,” says Hofmann. Both parties agreed on a contract until summer 2026.
“I am very pleased to be able to work at a traditional club like Donau Linz. “I will use all my experience to achieve the goal of promotion to the Upper Austrian league in the next 18 months,” says Wahlmüller.
