Launching the “The UAE is with you, Lebanon” community campaign to support the Lebanese people

According to WAM, 200 tons of relief materials were prepared, with the participation of more than 4,000 volunteers who prepared 10,000 relief packages, as part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to provide relief support to our Lebanese brothers and alleviate the severity of the humanitarian crisis that Lebanon is witnessing.

His Excellency Sultan Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organizations, said in this regard: “In embodiment of the state’s lofty humanitarian principles and noble fraternal values ​​calling for solidarity, cooperation, synergy and solidarity, we extend a hand of aid, assistance and relief to all those affected and affected by wars and conflicts, and from here, the urgent response was by “Our wise leadership addresses the difficult humanitarian conditions facing Lebanon and meets the urgent needs.”
Al Shamsi added: “The “The UAE is with you, Lebanon” campaign confirms the solidarity of the people of the UAE, with all its components, with the brotherly Lebanese people, and the continuous work to provide relief and assistance to the needy, the wounded, and the injured. This national campaign will carry a message of hope and solidarity to the brothers in Lebanon.”
The Emirati official pointed to the rapid response of the UAE since the first day of the crisis in Lebanon, as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan directed the President to provide 100 million US dollars to the Lebanese people, and he also ordered the provision of an urgent aid package worth 30 million US dollars to the displaced from The Lebanese people in the Syrian Arab Republic.
Al Shamsi continued: “Within the framework of the UAE’s support for the Lebanese people and helping them face humanitarian conditions, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, directed the provision of urgent aid through the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives” Foundation, so that the benefit of “Including 250,000 people in Lebanon.”

The campaign was launched on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from nine in the morning until one in the afternoon at the Dubai Exhibition Center in Expo City Dubai, and will be held tomorrow, Sunday, from nine in the morning until one in the afternoon at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Ship Terminal of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, under the supervision of the Emirates Red Crescent. It will be organized in the rest of the emirates of the country later to support the Lebanese people.
