Regarding the outcomes of the meeting of educational unions with officials of the Ministry of National Education, which was held at the Forum Center of the Ministry of National Education, Primary Education and Sports today, Wednesday, regarding the completion of regulatory texts related to the activation of the new basic system, informed sources stated that the meeting, which was attended by representatives of the five most representative unions and the general secretary To the Ministry of National Education, Primary Education and Sports, during which a number of points of interest to the educational workforce were discussed, including in particular the transitional movement, where in this regard a joint presentation on the transitional movements was presented, on which the educational unions agreed, and these movements concern the Education Authority. With an emphasis on preserving previous gains, most notably the continuity of the annual transitional movement. It was also agreed to adopt three stages of the movement: national, regional, and regional, instead of managing surpluses and shortages. The unions also proposed adopting new conditions regarding concession points, ensuring the rights of general seniority and seniority in the position, in addition to facilitating the enrollment of spouses.

It was also emphasized to activate the sectoral dialogue agreement, which allows former secondary education teachers, and those who changed their framework from primary and preparatory education teachers, to participate in rehabilitative secondary education. However, not all controversial points were resolved, as it was agreed to resume discussions at next week’s meeting to reach consensus on the draft resolution.

The meeting also dealt with the file of doctors from the Ministry of National Education, and in this regard, a commitment was made to issue a competition before the end of the current year, with a quota of 600 positions. Successful candidates will be appointed to various centers nationwide, such as the regional centers for education and training professions, the guidance and planning center, and the inspectors training center.

Regarding the conditions for participation in the competition, the latter will be open to employees of the Ministry of National Education who hold a doctorate degree or its equivalent, provided that they have four years of seniority. Candidates will also be allowed to apply for more than one specialty and at three different institutions. In addition, the condition that the file be free of disciplinary penalties was deleted, and the deadlines for filing nominations were extended to three weeks instead of one week, to enable candidates to submit their applications in more than one center.
The meeting also dealt with a number of files related to the statute of educational bodies, which will be dealt with successively, with an emphasis on settling all remaining files or amendment demands before the end of next December. The central dialogue will also resume in conjunction with the discussion of the Finance Law.
