All ready for "Asti Carousel"the new series of events organized by the Network …

Welcome to the Laugh-Fest: Carosello Astigiano!

Ladies and gentlemen, gather round, because the theatrical juggernaut that is “Network” of the Amateur Theater is about to hit Asti with a series of events that even the most seasoned comedy buff will find hard to resist. You see, they’ve partnered with Crasl19 and the provincial FITel to bring you the “Carosello Astigiano,” kicking off on Friday, October 18. The curtain rises at 9 PM sharp, so make sure your clocks are set and your puns are fully charged!

What’s on the Menu?

Ready your chuckles because the “J’Amprovisa’” Company of Piea will be taking the stage at the Teatro della Parish della Torretta in Piazza Nostra Signora di Lourdes. They’ll be serving up three delightful one-act plays, creatively titled “Ghignuma n’ura ansema.” How cheeky! It sounds almost like a mantra for the long-suffering tax payer as they wade through red tape.

Mark Your Calendars

In total, we’re graced with around eight performances from now through March 2025, with one or two shows per month lighting up our dreary provincial lives. And let’s be real – when was the last time your calendar looked this exciting? (I mean, come on, themed ‘How to Beat Your Local Tax Office’ parties don’t count!)

Comedy and Bureaucracy: A Match Made in Heaven

Now, if you think tax returns are dull, think again! The “J’Amprovisà di Piea” team is all about illuminating the hilarity inherent in the world of paperwork. Their repertoire includes:

  • Anselmo e Richeta van an Banca
  • La denuncia di redit
  • Jio piac l’IMU

Sounds riveting, right? They’ll take a playful jab at the labyrinthine paths of taxation, banking jargon, and those perplexing medical acronyms that leave us all scratching our heads. Expect lots of ‘aha!’ moments between bureaucratic babble and genuine human wit!

Meet the Crew

Featuring a talented cast of actors including the likes of Franco Adriano, Gemma Biò, and Marina Degiorgis, this is one heck of a line-up. Directed by the incomparable Lillo Agrò, whose vision is sure to bring both flair and a sense of absurdity to the stage. If you don’t laugh, I recommend checking your pulse – unless you’re a tax auditor, of course!

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your friends, arm them with snacks (not the gummy bears — trust me), and head down to catch these uproarious performances. Because if there’s one thing that unites us all, it’s the universal struggle against the absurdity of life and bureaucracy – as brilliantly depicted by this ever-so-cheeky band of thespians.

Until next time, keep your paperwork in order and your sense of humor sharper than your tax advisor’s quill!

The “Network” of the Amateur Theater is organizing, in collaboration with the Crasl19 and the provincial FITel, some events entitled “Carosello Astigiano”
It will begin on Friday 18 October with the “J’Amprovisa’” Company of Piea which will present, at 9 pm, three entertaining one-act plays entitled “Ghignuma n’ura ansema” at the Teatro della Parish della Torretta in Piazza Nostra Signora di Lourdes in Asti.

In total there should be eight appointments with 1 or 2 shows per month (October, November 2024, January, February, March 2025). The final calendar should be announced shortly with the right dates and places where the various companies will perform.

The “J’Amprovisà di Piea” theater company will stage a Piedmontese show composed of three comedies, three one-act plays: (Anselmo e Richeta van an Banca, La denuncia di redit, Jio piac l’IMU). In a fun way they will introduce us to the world of the language of bureaucracy, of the documents and procedures to be carried out in tax returns, in the banking lexicon and incomprehensible medical acronyms. All these areas lend themselves to nice misunderstandings. It is a comparison between peasant culture with its direct, simple language, but full of concrete meaning and an artificial, complicated language of bureaucracy which becomes increasingly incomprehensible, smoky and artificial, it is a welcoming of a discomfort that transforms in brilliant comedy.
The actors: Franco Adriano, Gemma Biò, Damaso Degioanni, Marina Degiorgis, Fabrizio Bosco, Anna Presta, Giuseppe Franco, Erika Franco, Maria Corio. Collaborators: Giancarlo Musso, Alessandro Riggi, Maria Di Cesaro Director: Lillo Agrò.
