So much so that many users, even if they own high-performance PCs (despite not being the latest generation), have remained “cut off”. With the release of Windows 11 24H2, Microsoft has definitively ousted some older PCs, i.e. all those equipped with processors not capable of supporting the POPCNT instruction and SSE4.2 extensions. In these cases, booting Windows 11 24H2 simply fails and the system is therefore unable to boot.
For everyone else, however, Windows 11 24H2 can be installed even without meeting the requirements set by Microsoft. However, it should be kept in mind that the Redmond company does not support these installation methodologies and that it does not guarantee the distribution of updates via Windows Update (even if to date the update packages have always arrived even on machines that do not meet the requirements…) .
The commands to be given when starting the installation of Windows 11 24H2
If you already have a bootable media containing the files necessary for installing Windows 11 24H2, created for example with the Media Creation Tool (Create installation media for Windows 11 on this page), just boot from that drive, set the language and time/currency format, click on Avanti then confirm the Italian keyboard layout.
When the screen appears Select the installation optionyou have to choose Installa Windows 11 confirming the desire to delete any data present on the local drive.
Here you don’t have to press the button right away Avantibut use the key combination SHIFT+F10 to open the command prompt. With some systems, especially notebooks, you may need to press SHIFT+Fn+F10 (Fn is the key for activating function commands).
Now the following commands must be given, one after the other:

To do this first, you can use another USB stick, create a file called bypass.bat inside it and paste the above commands into it. By connecting the stick to the system on which you are installing, you can type D:bypass.bat, E:bypass.bat, F:bypass.bat and so on until the instructions are executed.

Use Rufus to create a bootable drive with Windows 11 24H2
An excellent alternative is to use the popular free utility Rufus to prepare a bootable USB stick that allows you to install Windows 11 24H2 without requirements.
To proceed in this direction, just click on SELECT and choose the Windows 11 24H2 ISO file previously downloaded from Microsoft download page or use Rufus himself (button DOWNLOADarrow to the right of SELECT) to directly download the Windows 11 24H2 ISO image.
By choosing MBR in Partition scheme type e BIOS or UEFI in the drop-down menu immediately next to it, you can create a bootable USB stick, with Windows 11 24H2, compatible with any PC.
