A last-second goal by Mohamed Marhoon salvaged a draw for Bahrain in their encounter with Indonesia during the 2026 World Cup Qualification’s third round.
In the Thursday (10/10) match, Marhoon’s score secured a 2-2 tie. Indonesia had previously enjoyed a 2-1 advantage, thanks to strikes from Ragnar Oratmangoen and Rafael Struick.
Marhoon’s initial effort, a free kick launched in the 15th minute, rebounded off the crossbar before ultimately entering the net against Shin Tae-yong’s side.
The tied outcome leaves Indonesia in fifth position, with three points – mirroring Bahrain’s total. However, Bahrain holds a better rank, claiming fourth place due to a superior goal difference.
