Fractured Loyalties: SYRIZA Insider’s Bombshell Exposé Sets Party Leadership in the Crosshairs

Stefanos Kasselakis sent an extra-judicial letter to the Political Secretariat and the Central Committee of SYRIZA on the occasion of the leak of his letter of intent, which was submitted to the party in the context of the validation of his candidacy for the presidency of the party.

As he states in the courtroom: “Although I have nothing to hide, but because this is a very serious leak and indeed a selective one, at an illegal time, since it does not seem that the statement regarding any other co-candidate was leaked before it was even checked and approved and because the leaked apparently and it was done by SYRIZA PS, I declare to you that I will resort to any legal means to protect my personality individually and as President of SYRIZA PS, the prestige of SYRIZA PS but also the personality of the thousands of members of SYRIZA PS”.

He notes in the out-of-court protest: “I call on the competent bodies of the SYRIZA PS to proceed with an immediate and urgent investigation, on the same day, for the premature and selective leak that took place, otherwise I will be obliged to request that the same investigation be legally assigned to competent prosecuting and judicial authorities”.

Earlier, as it became known from the manager of Stefanos Kasselakis’ office, Manolis Kapnisakis, “Mr. Kasselakis asked for the resignation of the party’s secretary, Rania Svigou, for leaking his personal information”.

The announcement of the director of the office of the former president of SYRIZA states:

“It is unacceptable and reprehensible that the presidium of the Central Committee of SYRIZA violated the personal data of Stefanos Kasselakis, by publishing information about his whereabouts. This kind of leak, beyond the ethical dimension, raises serious questions about the protection of personal data and transparency, values that the party is supposed to stand for.

We demand the immediate resignation of the secretary of the party, Rania Svigou, who bears the main responsibility for ensuring the protection of personal data of the candidates. Stefanos Kasselakis is now forced to seriously consider the possibility of going to court to defend his rights. Besides, the fact that the leak happened on the same day as the meeting of the Political Secretariat is not a random event or a simple coincidence…

It is noted that Stefanos Kasselakis filed the declaration of where he came from for the fiscal year up to 24/9/2023 (the date of acquisition of the position of President of SYRIZA), while all the other candidates filed or will file declarations for the fiscal year 2021, given that the relevant platform for the electronic submission of returns for the following years still remains closed for all liable persons.

It must also be clarified that Tyler Macbeth, even though he was not legally obliged, as in September 2023 his marriage to Stefanos Kasselakis had not yet been consummated, he nevertheless submitted an initial statement of his affiliation. If it is requested by anyone with a legal interest, it will be provided with the risk that it will also be illegally leaked.

In conclusion and given that all the information included in Stefanos Kasselakis’ declaration of where he is from is accurate, true and fully documented by a number of documents, we would recommend to those who “invested” in the ND pre-election narrative about where he is from, to change course because are irreparably exposed…”.

EfSyn v. Kasselakis: His case law is unclear and has differences from Excel of Thessaloniki

Today’s publication of the “Newspaper of the Editors” talks about questions that arise regarding the whereabouts of the former president of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance, Stefanos Kasselakis.

The publication speaks of “a presidential candidate with great influence but nowhere”. It refers to a 15-page document that has been tabled and is “a continuation and photocopy” of the one tabled on June 30 in Parliament. And the newspaper asks, “why, when he testified about his whereabouts on June 30, did he not immediately go on the counterattack, giving his assets to the public himself?”

He also wonders: “Are the photocopies he sent to Koumoundourou of all the pages of the corresponding statement (s.s. filed) in the Parliament?” From the photocopies we collected in relation to the 15-page photocopied document he submitted, however, a third question emerges: Is his husband’s financial situation listed or not in the document to Koumoundourou?”

And he continues: “It sounds like there is no information about him, although in Excel of Thessaloniki there was an update on Tyler Macbeth’s property.”

Always per the “Journal of Editors,” Mr. Kasselakis informs his party that in fiscal year 2023, his income as of December 31 was $1.7 million. “Here the crucial question is whether the statement he filed specifies the sources of income or is it simply a list of tables (as was done in Excel in Thessaloniki)” writes the editor.

To these amounts should be added an income of 70,000 dollars from rents, and three participations in funds valued at 330,000, 1,050 and 2.4 million respectively. He also allegedly declares participation in the sole proprietorship Osios, amounting to 500,000 dollars, and participation in the limited partnership Pura Vita with a capital of 15,000 euros.

Regarding his deposits, Mr. Kasselakis has:

  • a €25,000 account with JP Morgan
  • an account with his mother, amounting to 27,000 euros at the National Bank.

His real estate is said to be the following:

  • a plot of 470 sq.m. in Spetses with a house of 290 sq.m.
  • a floor apartment in Neo Kosmos of 106 sq.m.
  • a 55-acre plot in New York State with a 360 sq.m. building. within it
  • a $1.6 million mortgage on a March 9, 2022, U.S. real estate purchase

At the same time he states:

  • $5,600 in card debt
  • a vehicle he acquired in the US with an $80,000 loan
  • a five-year-old vehicle that he acquired in Greece for 110,000 euros, of which 100,000 is a loan

If all this is true, the petition has differences with the one filed in Thessaloniki by him. From the co-capital, it showed incomes of 2.067 million dollars from leased services and real estate, while in relation to SYRIZA the corresponding amount is 1.8 million euros. He also showed deposits of 21,000 dollars in JP Morgan while in poten esches to SYRIZA it is 4,000 dollars more. In Thessaloniki, there is also no reference to the joint account with his mother but only to two accounts of his husband, of negligible value.
