GUANAJUATO.- Last night, October 1st there was a shooting attack in a Salamanca annexwhich left at least four people dead and several more injured.
The armed attack occurred in an “apparent” rehabilitation center located between Reforma and Comunicación Norte streets, in the El Rosario neighborhood.
Witnesses to the events pointed out that armed men They arrived at the rehabilitation center in a red car and shot at the people who were in the facility.
Neighbors in the area, alarmed by the detonations, made several calls to the 911 emergency system and they arrived at the site. elements of the Municipal Police and of the National guardwho surrounded the place and began a chase to find those responsible.
During the escape, the alleged criminals threw objects known as punctures tires on the asphaltthus preventing the security forces from reaching them.
The Salamanca government regretted the events and reaffirmed its commitment “to continue working in coordination with the different areas of government for peace.”
This is the second massacre that has been recorded in Guanajuato this week. The first occurred on Sunday, September 29 in the Villas de San Nicolás II neighborhood, in León.
