Brazil Weighs In on Sputnik V: A Game-Changer in Global COVID-19 Combat

After many other countries, Brazil is also ready to acquire the Russian Corona vaccine, in this regard, the Brazilian Ministry of Health is going to sign an agreement with Russia regarding the purchase of Sputnik V.

The Ministry of Health of Brazil is ready to sign an agreement with the RDIF (Russian Direct Investment Fund) regarding the possible purchase of the Russian Corona vaccine Sputnik V.

According to the Brazilian Ministry of Health, similar agreements will be made with major US pharmaceutical giants Pfizer, Johnson-Selig, Indian Biotech, and Moderna.

It should be noted that Brazil has shown activity for a vaccine against the corona virus since the beginning. Also last week, Brazilian healthcare officials met with representatives of vaccine companies to discuss issues related to vaccine production, safety and efficacy, as well as logistical aspects of its delivery.

It should be remembered that the trials of the Corona vaccine Sinovac, manufactured in China, have also been conducted in Brazil. During the trials, a volunteer also died, after which the trials were stopped, but later they were resumed.

Furthermore, Brazil’s Butanton Institute Biomedical Center will receive the first dose of China’s Sinovac vaccine against Covid-19 this week.
