In April of this year, PrahaIN.cz reported on the contract regarding the performance of Leoš Mareš in the Zlín region, he was supposed to pay 484 thousand crowns for the performance, which is the most in the history of the region. However, after publishing the amount, the presenter and singer promised to donate the fee to a good cause. We have now been notified of another contract for an even higher amount.

According to Mareš, the situation regarding the performance in Zlín was unpleasant. “Either give up the fee, which I can do, but then I thought of an even better option. These are the days of the Zlín Region, so I would take the money but leave it in the Zlín Region. We would choose a dog shelter or some organization that takes care of the needy in the Zlín region, and I think everything will be fine with that. The money will stay in Zlín and some specific organization will receive it, which we will choose together,” Leoš Mareš said at the time on Instagram in stories.

He then did not disclose where the money actually went.

Leoš Mareš has currently finished his tour with several concerts in Brno. Tickets are in high demand and most concerts are sold out.

At the same time, he says about himself that he can’t actually sing. The fact that the fans still love him, however, cannot be speculated.

The main star of Mělník

Leoš Mareš performed on Saturday, September 21 at the Mělník vintage, where, according to him, 17,000 people watched him from the full square. Whether such a number of people can realistically fit in the square was debated under the posts on social networks.

The Mělník vintage is one of the largest in the Czech Republic, with approximately 60,000 people visiting it during one weekend. Over the course of three days, hundreds of performers took turns, from singers, theater actors to street performers. There were seventy performances on five stages and more than 150 stalls filled the historic center of the city, where visitors could taste wine and burčak from dozens of winemakers, for the younger ones there were around thirty fairground attractions

And it wasn’t clear until the last moment whether it would happen at all. During the flood season, the city at the confluence of the Elbe and Vltava rivers waited to see how much the water would rise. The Elbe in Mělník culminated just three days before the actual start. The festivities take place in the historic center of the city above the river and in the end there was no deterioration, so everything could go as planned.

The organizers kept it a secret for a long time that the main star of the entire vintage would be Leoš Mareš, the public found out three months before the event.

And the fee corresponded to it. Mělník paid 605,000 crowns including VAT for one hour of Leoš Mareš’s performance. The price also included transport and travel costs.

Bargain, which the editors checked, was closed at the end of January this year and was signed by Petr Kowanda (ANO) on behalf of Mělník. The current deputy mayor, who in the elections he won the most preferential votes in Mělník for the regional council.

But Leoš Mareš was not the only well-known artist who performed at the festivities. Rytmus, Marpo or the band Wohnout or Lunetic also appeared on stage. However, we could not find the fee for their performance and the city refused to respond to our questions.
