Unveiling the Hidden Harmony: How Gravity’s Gentle Touch Shapes the Celestial Ballet

This is reported by several media, including German ones BR24.

FIS decided earlier this year that media and marketing agreements should be collected in FIS’s hands and sold centrally. Previously, it was the national ski associations that negotiated agreements for races in their own country.

Germany’s ski association went to court to prevent this and has now won a preliminary victory. FIS, for its part, reacts strongly to the outcome and announces an appeal.

– The injunction only applies to rights in Germany, because the court in Munich has no authority beyond Germany’s borders. We will also contest the decision, which is completely wrong, says a statement from FIS.

However, the court refers to the competition rules in the EU.

– The planned central marketing of media rights for the World Cups in the 2025-26 season involves an illegal restriction of competition based on European legislation on cartel activities, the court’s decision states.

It is also claimed that FIS uses its market dominance to the detriment of the interests of the German Ski Association.

The German Ski Association says it is satisfied with the court’s decision.

– This was positive news, and I feel a certain relief. This case is about the German ski association’s existence, says board member Stefan Schwarzbach to BR24.

For the time being, the temporary injunction prevents FIS from selling rights to races in Germany.
