Empowering Indonesian Entrepreneurs: OK OCE Unites with ADCP and UPN Veteran Jakarta to Supercharge MSME Growth

PT Adhi Commuter Properti Tbk. (ADCP) together with the Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) campus signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with OK OCE, a social entrepreneurial movement, to explore various business development potentials in managing the ADCP property area which is integrated with mass transportation nodes.

This collaboration shows ADCP’s seriousness in implementing its commitments Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) in its business environment.
The signing of the MoU was carried out by ADCP Main Director Rizkan Firman with OK OCE General Chair Iim Rusyamsi and witnessed by OK OCE founder who is also Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno and ADCP Marketing and Production Director, Farid Budiyanto, in Jakarta, Sunday (6/10).

Meanwhile, the OK OCE MoU with the UPNVJ campus is through the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Prof. Dr. Supriyanto. This collaboration will focus the business development potential of MSMEs, members assisted by OK OCE. In a statement on Sunday (6/10), it was stated that this activity marked the beginning of cooperation between ADCP and OK OCE as a legal entity based on people’s economics and social care with ADCP as a property developer, both in the form of residential and commercial areas with the Transit Oriented Development concept. – TOD in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi.

ADCP Main Director Rizkan Firman said project The properties managed by ADCP are currently in 12 locations in Jabodetabek. With most projects located near the LRT mode of transportation. Several other projects are close to Transjakarta stops and KRL Commuterline stations.
Rizkan explained that the property project in Sentul is one of the large projects managed by ADCP. “In Sentul we have 2 locations, including near the Sentul toll exit and later there will be phase 2 LRT construction. There is an OK OCE program which we have the potential to collaborate with existing investment potential,” said Rizkan in his statement.

Most of the projects are mixed usewhich includes homes, campuses, hotels, office. Because passenger traffic is high. They provide slots for MSMEs. OK OCE General Chair Iim Rusyamsi said that currently there are 300 communities throughout the country with 800 thousand members who have joined OK OCE. “At this MoU event, we invited 30 communities in Jabodetabek to attend the MoU signing event,” said Iim.

He said, in order to encourage the empowerment of MSMEs and create new jobs, his party is collaborating with a number of regional governments, the private sector and universities. He added that the OK OCE program is claimed to have created 1.8 million jobs and by the end of this year it is targeted to absorb 2 million jobs.

On that occasion, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy and Founder of OK OCE Sandiaga Uno said that OK OCE was founded 8 years ago and remains solid to this day. He reminded that Indonesia only has less than 15 years to achieve Gold Indonesia in 2045 because our demographic age is large and must be maximized, with 70% of productive age, and those aged 40 and over reaching 50%.

Indonesia’s gross domestic product (GDP) is projected to increase to US$18,000 or US$20,000 from the current position of US$5,000.
Sandiaga is optimistic that as many as 44 million new jobs will be created. MSMEs who are members of OK OCE are the driving force.

Indonesia is currently in the top 3 creative economies in the world and contributes 8% below the United States and Korea. He emphasized that he supports the Prabowo government program and without sitting in the cabinet again, Sandi is committed to spending more time rolling out the OK OCE program.

Campus Supports OK OCE

Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, UPN Veteran Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Supriyanto, explained the reasons for his campus’ involvement. Namely there are two things. First, universities have the main tasks of the tridharma of higher education, one of which is community service. Every campus definitely has a service program, including the UPN Veteran Jakarta Faculty of Computer Science which has a program pentahelix. “Our program is to assist MSMEs in terms of ICT technology. Of course we need partners who can intensively assist the MSME community,” said Prof. Dr. Supriyanto.

It turns out that OK OCE also does this through community formation and mobilization. “We invited OK OCE representatives to the pentahelix activity in Serang Regency, it turned out to be suitable, and finally we wrapped it up in the form of a cooperation agreement,” he explained.
Second, one of the Main Performance Indicators (IKU).PTN is to produce graduates who are entrepreneurs, meaning there needs to be a partner who canencourage‘ Our prospective graduates are interested in entrepreneurship, it turns out that OK OCE also does this. In the near future, his party will hold an entrepreneurial competition for internal UPNVJ, which is supported by the OK OCE team.
