Pavlos Geroulanos first met with Nikos Androulakis at the PASOK president’s office in the Parliament and then had a meeting with Haris Doukas.
The Geroulanou-Doukas meeting lasted three quarters with Haris Doukas coming out to speak to the cameras:
“We had a very good meeting, in an excellent atmosphere. I mentioned in my program, the need to redirect the country. I emphasized the necessity, because it opens a back door, with each passing day, to the Far Right and intolerance. The message of the ballot box is clear, let’s change now. It will be captured on Sunday. Discussions are progressing so that the debate can take place immediately.”
Geroulanos: The voters have their own will
“We had an extremely interesting discussion with both of the second round contenders. We talked about the next day’s PASOK, which we want to open up, grow it to be victorious in the next elections. The invitation for the meeting was made by the two candidates and I responded,” said Mr. Geroulanos.
To the question of whether he will indicate one of the two to his voters, Mr. Geroulanos said: “I answered this on Sunday night, nothing has changed since my position, the voters have their own will.”
And he continued: “I want to say that participation is important because it will elevate PASOK, it will legitimize any president even if they are not happy to go and vote.”
Mr. Geroulanos also stated that “there was an alignment of opinions on many things, they both recognize that PASOK needs to change its dysfunctions, become more attractive, talk to more layers”.
Referring to the debate under discussion between the two, Pavlos Geroulanos said that it would be good to do it.
