The report said that last Sunday night when the police raided the family’s house based on a tip-off, Rashid revealed his name as Shankar Sharma.
But the police got suspicious after seeing writing on the walls of the house, which read Mehdi Foundation International and Jashan Younis.

According to the police, Rashid Siddiqui said that he has been living in the suburbs of Bangalore since 2018. He also had an Aadhaar identity card along with an Indian passport. Apart from this, three members of other family members also had passports and Aadhaar cards with Hindu names.
According to the report, Rashid Siddiqui is a resident of Liaquatabad area of Karachi, while his wife, mother-in-law and father-in-law are said to be from Lahore.
The arrest of Rashid and the rest of the family came after an immigration officer in Chennai on September 24 detained Bangladeshi nationals who were using Indian passports obtained through forged documents.
