Israel reported this Tuesday the sighting of more than a hundred rockets towards the north of the country, especially aimed at the city of Haifa and nearby areas of Galilee. These were launched by Hezbollah from the Lebanonafter a year of open confrontations.
According to the Army, most of the projectiles were intercepted, and only some hit open areas. The rockets arrived in two consecutive waves: the first with 85 projectiles and the second with 20.

The shells set off anti-aircraft alarms in the northern city, as well as in the Upper Galilee and Central Galilee areas.
The Israeli emergency service, Magen David Adom, reported a 71-year-old woman with a minor wound to her arm, caused by shrapnel. “We treated her at the scene and took her to the hospital,” said a spokesperson for the emergency team.
An hour earlier, another 25 rockets had been launched from the neighboring country towards the northern region of Lower Galilee and the city of Tiberias.
