Canceled orders due to the tense economic situation are said to have led to the horticultural company “JoMa” from Sierning becoming insolvent. The company, which has existed since 2022, was active in roof and facade greening, garden design and pool construction.
A bankruptcy application has now been filed at the Steyr regional court. As Alexander Meinschad from the Credit Protection Association of 1870 reports, the liabilities are said to be around 684,000 euros and there are 72 creditors. There are no plans to restructure the company – in which Mayr Bau from Steyr has a half stake. The eleven employees are still needed to complete the orders.
This is not the first bankruptcy for the employed managing director Johannes Halbartschlager: in 2021, Halbartschlager Dachgarten GmbH and JoHa Gartenbau went bankrupt, and the bankruptcy proceedings were completed in 2023. In 2016, the Halbartschlager wholesale nursery became insolvent and the business was restructured.
Gartenservice Halbartschlager from Steyr has nothing to do with the current bankruptcy.
