Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar arrived in Beijing for a visit to China, where he will participate in the ‘Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation’ to be held in the capital Beijing from October 17 to 18.

The event is being held in Beijing to mark the 10th anniversary of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s global infrastructure and energy initiatives to promote global trade through the Silk Road.

According to the official news agency ‘APP’, the caretaker prime minister received a warm welcome on his arrival in Beijing.

Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Wang Zhuogang, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zhidong and senior officials welcomed him, while Chinese artists welcomed the Prime Minister with traditional dances.

Anwarul Haq Kakar was presented with a bouquet of flowers while the national anthems of Pakistan and China were played.

Earlier, the caretaker prime minister wrote on the social media website X that he is leaving to attend the third Belt and Road Forum held in Beijing at the official invitation of the Chinese president.

He said that he was looking forward to strengthening relations, exchange, establishing new partnerships and promoting regional connectivity for a bright future.

The Prime Minister’s Office shared the video of Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar’s departure from Islamabad and wrote that the caretaker prime minister represented Pakistan in the event and Pakistan in the last 10 years. Earlier, it was reported that Pakistan and China will sign important agreements regarding motorways and highways during the 4-day visit of caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar to China starting from October 16.

According to the global news organizations “Reuters and AFP”, the forum is expected to be attended by senior Chinese officials, business leaders and major investors, as well as the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Afghan Taliban government.

Caretaker Home Minister Sarfarar Bugti is also visiting China along with Anwarul Haq Kakar.

Before his departure, the caretaker prime minister highlighted the strong ties between the two countries in his article in the Global Times.

Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar wrote in the article that ‘Pakistan and China’s partnership and deep friendship is in the interest of both countries. There is support.’

Speaking about the Bullet and Road Initiative, Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar paid tribute to the vision and political vision of Chinese President Xi Jinping, who 10 years ago had the vision to build a global community for a shared future. He said that Pakistan was among the countries that first became part of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) project, adding that CPEC was a key element in every bilateral agenda of economic cooperation and connectivity between the two countries. played an important role and connected countries more than ever before.

The Caretaker Prime Minister said that CPEC is the best example of BRI’s promise of economic prosperity and connectivity, which has transformed Pakistan’s socio-economic landscape through modern infrastructure, regional connectivity, energy security and employment opportunities. .

He said that Pakistan is committed to the joint construction of CPEC and fully supports China’s proposal for the project to promote growth, employment, innovation, greenness and openness.

He further said that despite the many challenges facing the world, the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China is of utmost importance.

He said that this is not only a source of peace and pride for our people but also a symbol of peace and stability in the region and beyond, our relationship is past, present and future which no one can change.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, during the visit, there will be a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, as well as meetings with the top Chinese leadership and heads of other countries participating in the forum.

He added that Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar will also hold meetings with businessmen and investors to promote investment in Pakistan.
