This tragic event took place last Sunday night, September 29, when the boat was returning from a birthday party they were celebrating at sea. Five of the seven occupants were rescued, while Beatriz herself and her friend, Aline Tamara Moreira de Amorim, 37 years old, disappeared without a trace.
This Thursday, after intense work, the rescue teams, aligned with firefighters, environmental police and the Brazilian Navy, finally found Beatriz’s body in the sea. Meanwhile, they continue searching for Aline, who shared some images on her social networks from the ship just moments after the shipwreck.

Regarding the accident, it took place in a very dangerous area, famous for strong currents and waves, which could have caused the boat in which Beatriz Tavares herself was to sink.
On the other hand, Camila Alves, one of the survivors of the shipwreck, aged 20, has confessed that the group of friends divided into two boats to head to the coast: “Our solution was to throw ourselves onto the rocks to try to hold on and save us.”
