ACTRESS Demi Moore is proud of her daughter’s musical journey. On Saturday (October 5), Moore reshared her cover of Scout Willis’ new song, “Take Me,” on Instagram with a touching message addressed to her daughter.

“‘TAKE ME’ by @scoutlaruewillis. Beautiful song. You are beautiful too,” Moore, 61, captioned the image. “So proud of you, my darling!”

The song is Willis’ second single of the year under the name Scout LaRue Willis, after “Over and Over.”

Willis last released an album in June 2022 with a debut album using his own name.

Willis told PEOPLE when announcing his first album that he initially “thought I shouldn’t and couldn’t pursue music full-time,” before realizing that thought was just “a clever way to hide my deep, unconscious fear of sharing myself and my art with the world .”

“When looking back through the lens of this album and my personal growth, I love every experience that inspired these songs, every moment of challenge, heartbreak, and triumph, because they all came together to bring me to this moment and I’ve never loved myself so much and my life is like now,” he said at the time.

For her latest musical effort, Willis — the daughter of Moore and Bruce Willis — released “Take Me” on Thursday, October 3.

In September, at the Los Angeles premiere of The Substance, Scout spoke with PEOPLE about how her mother taught her the importance of appreciating her inner beauty, calling Moore “a model for working to feel good from within.”

“Because I think there are people who are incredibly beautiful on the outside, but still feel very insecure and in a lot of pain,” she said. “So I think she fostered in all of us a real desire to feel beautiful, to feel sexy, to feel whole.”

He also praised Moore’s recent work in The Substance which plays a celebrity who tries a black market drug to create a younger version of himself.

“I think this film is great because it’s a little bit satirical and takes a satirical critical look at these beauty standards,” Willis said. (People/Z-3)
