According to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the planes carried other aid in cooperation with the World Health Organization, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, within two days within the framework of the UAE air bridge, and as part of a campaign. “The UAE is with you, Lebanon.”

She stated that these supplies come as part of “the dedicated efforts undertaken by the UAE, in cooperation with international partners, to provide urgent relief support to our brothers in Lebanon, to contribute to alleviating the severity of the critical humanitarian and health repercussions.”

The humanitarian aid aims to alleviate the repercussions that have caused an acute shortage of medicines and medical supplies, and the suffering of thousands of families from a lack of basic medical services, especially the sick, children, the elderly, and women.

The UAE launched the “The UAE is with you, Lebanon” campaign to support the Lebanese people at the state level, starting from Tuesday, October 8, until Monday, October 21, in which the community, institutions, and governmental and private bodies participate.

The campaign comes after UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a few days ago, ordered the provision of an urgent relief aid package to Lebanon, worth $100 million.
