At the same time, a senior military source quoted by the British network iTV says that Israel’s fighters have already received orders regarding the targets and the checks and loading of missiles have been completed. Israel, as is customary just before major operations, has not yet passed on the coordinates of the targets to the personnel and officers of the armed forces, in order to keep the operation top secret until the last minute.
It also remains unknown whether Israel has communicated the full plan of the strike to Washington and whether it has received the “green light” for this operation. Joe Biden last week insisted that the operation – response to Iran will be a joint operation of US and Israeli forces.
Netanyahu’s attack on Macron
In his taped message a while ago, Benjamin Netanyahu personally addressed French President Emmanuel Macron, who earlier today called for an end to arms shipments to Israel until there is an agreement on a cease-fire in Gaza.
In a strong tone, the Prime Minister of Israel spoke of “shame that will follow them even years after the victory in today’s war”. Emmanuel Macron has recently expressed strong concern about Israel’s ground operations in Lebanon. France maintains very close relations with Lebanon with Macron also in the country four years ago shortly after the explosion that swept through the port of Beirut in 2020.
