This selected provider or vendor involves local MSMEs, with the material supply purchased from traditional markets in Solo.

One of the foods that was avoided in the process of providing 226,548 packages for support officers was coconut milk food. This is a reference from a nutritionist.
“The shelf life of food when processed with coconut milk is short. This is very risky for it to become stale. So all food packages do not contain coconut milk,” argued Wahyu Kristina.
PT Dara Boga Samara (DBS) is the food provider for Peparnas XVII non-athlete support staff and officials. DBS meets the needs of 16,182 packages per day in two different places.

To process these dishes, especially vegetables, DBS uses the kitchen facilities at SMKN 4 Surakarta. DBS involves a number of SMKN 4 Surakarta students to process the raw ingredients into ready-to-eat ones.
From SMKN 4 Surakarta, the ready-to-eat dishes were brought to the Baturan Badminton GOR which has been transformed into a Peparnas XVII 2024 kitchen.
“To provide this food, we collaborate with local catering entrepreneurs. So, the catering sends it here (Baturan), then there is a check from our nutritionist for suitability. After that, it is packaged and distributed,” explained DBS Main Director, Susanto.
Apart from SMKN 4 Surakarta, DBS also involved students from SMKN 7 Surakarta and SMKN 3 Sukoharjo. All three schools have culinary classes. There are also residents around the Baturan Badminton GOR who are also invited to make the PEPARNAS XVII Solo 2024 event a success. (S-1)
