With a slight increase, but also with a decrease in turnover, share prices closed today’s session on the Athens Stock Exchange, with the market registering a new high of one year and a new high of 9 years.
From the high capitalization on the Athens Stock Exchange, the securities of Mytileneos, Ethniki, Motor Oil and OPAP outperformed.
The General Price Index closed at 1,338.03 points, marking an increase of 0.48%. It is the highest close since the April 2, 2014 session (1,353.01 points). The main stock market index since the beginning of 2023 records gains of 43.91%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,340.21 units (+0.65%).
The value of the transactions amounted to 78.69 million euros, while 22,532,777 shares were traded.
The large-cap index rose 0.57%, while the mid-cap index rose 1.31%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Mytileneos (+1.74%), Ethniki (+1.45%), Motor Oil (+1.40%), OPAP (+1, 35%) and Jumbo (+1.08%).
On the contrary, the biggest decline was recorded by the shares of Quest Participations (-1.23%), Coca Cola HBC (-1.07%), Aegean Airlines (-0.95%) and Ellaktor (-0.75%) .
Of the individual indices, the Industrial Products (+1.56%) and Personal Products (+1.06%) indices recorded the largest increase, while the Food (-1.05%) and of Real Estate (-0.55%).
Eurobank and Alpha Bank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 4,505,246 and 3,904,942 shares, respectively.
The highest transaction value was recorded by Mytilineos with 7.82 million euros and Eurobank with 7.37 million euros.
61 stocks moved up, 37 fell and 26 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Chaidemenos +14.52% and Vioter +10.00%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Xylemporia (p) -18.62% and Tzirakian -3.40%.
