In this context, director Ahmed Bou Erwa announced in his blog post the news of the death and said in this regard: The sister, companion, truthful, trustworthy, “Lahabiyya Mai,” beloved and “residing” in all Moroccan hearts, the artist “Naima Lamshriqi” has passed away.. May God have mercy on her and forgive her. May she rest in peace. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.

The late Naima Al-Mashriqi demonstrated a distinguished talent in theater through several plays with the most famous theater groups in the Kingdom: Al-Maamoura Ensemble, Basateen, Al-Ans Theater, and the Moroccan Radio and Television Ensemble.
During the Arab Radio Festival in Cairo in 1998, she won the award for best vocal performance in the series “Amina.”
The late artist Naima Al-Mashriqi, starting in 1964, continued to appear on television through programs and series, where she played the first female role in the “Ram Dam Family” series. Her star also shone in cinema by participating in more than 20 feature-length Italian or French films. In addition to many Moroccan short and feature films, such as “Blood Wedding,” “Faten,” “The Battle of the Three Kings,” “Lalla Habibi,” or “Swallow Alley.”
Naima Al-Mashriqi is also a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, an advisor to the National Observatory for Children’s Rights, and assistant president of the National Syndicate of Theater Professionals. She has participated in several films and series, such as Alal Al-Qalda and Taqat Al-Khayal, among others.
