Oil of unknown origin and quality was being sold in five liter tins by a person who was arrested in the area of Kilkis. According to the police, the man was spotted by Kilkis Security Department officers driving a vehicle where a knife was found and confiscated.
Upon further investigation, it was established that the above-mentioned man had earlier made available for a fee to residents of the Kilkis and Serres areas, a total of 99 containers of 5 liters each, which were labeled “Extra Virgin Olive Oil” and contained oil of unknown origin. The amount of 1,550 euros was found and confiscated in his possession, which was returned to the victims. The containers of oil were confiscated.
