CALIFORNIA.- The Dominican film “Convivencia” has surpassed more than 15 events in different countries since its premiere last year. Recently the drama that deals with the most important human need, survival, won the Best Cast award at the Orange County Latino International Film Festival, held in Santa Ana, California.

Other important awards for the film produced and written by Tony Gómez Guzmán include Best Film at the Frankfurt Indie Stars Film Festival (April 11, 2024) and Venice Film Week (July 24, 2024) events.

Likewise, the Dominican production received Honorable Mention at the International Guadalajara Film Awards (May 7, 2024) and was in the Official Selection at film festivals in Rome, Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco, Amsterdam, New York, Guatemala and Los Angeles , among others.

Added to all this is the news that in May 2025, “Convivencia” will be part of the list of films in the Official Selection of the Cannes International Film Week.
