P3’s overall project at JadeWeserPort includes the phased development of around 140,000 m² of logistics space and represents a significant investment in Germany’s only deep-water port. The first, now completed hall offers 31,700 m² of modern usable space, including 2,000 m² of mezzanine and 2,500 m² of office space. It has 32 dock levellers, 11 ground-level gates – seven of which are oversized – and enables the storage of particularly large goods thanks to a special 7 meter wide and 4.5 meter high gate.

Sönke Kewitz, Managing Director of P3 Germany, says: “The establishment of Zhejiang Seaport is a strong signal for JadeWeserPort and the entire region. With this project we are not only creating new jobs, but also strengthening Germany’s importance as a hub in international goods traffic. We are proud to support the company in expanding its European operations.”

Qing Zhang, Managing Director of Zhejiang Seaport (Germany) Supply Chain Management GmbH, says: “We are pleased to further expand our partnership with P3. Together we will develop innovative solutions and open up new business areas. Our goal is to make a significant contribution to the economic progress of both regions through even more efficient services. We are convinced that our collaboration will set new standards and create a true win-win situation. Our thanks to P3 for their continued support and trust. Together with JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven, we look forward to a promising future with confidence.”

Zhejiang Seaport is using the real estate provided by P3 to expand its operations in Europe as part of the Belt and Road Initiative. The company aims to intensify the movement of goods between China and Europe and increase logistical efficiency through its presence in this strategic location. This settlement is intended to help further deepen economic relations between the two economic areas.

The establishment of Zhejiang Seaport underlines the growing relevance of the JadeWeserPort as a central freight transport center in Europe. With the rental of the first hall, P3 has reached an important milestone in the overall project. In the coming years, additional hall space will be created at JadeWeserPort in order to meet the increasing demand for modern and sustainable logistics solutions.
