Dani Carvajal suffered a torn cruciate ligament in his right knee in the final minutes of the match against Villarreal on Saturday and, after confirming the severity, teammates and former teammates shared messages of support for the right back on their social networks with a point in common: “you will come back stronger.”
Among the messages, one of the most special was that of Joselu Mato, his friend, brother-in-law and former teammate, who currently plays for Al-Gharafa in Qatar.
“I write through tears and with the feeling that I would prefer it had happened to me. Now we have a path left that I know you will walk admirably, like everything you do. I love you brother, always with you,” he published.
Furthermore, another footballer who left Real Madrid at the end of the season, Nacho Fernández, in his case heading to Saudi Arabia, also highlighted Carvajal’s fighting spirit.
“Warriors like you always excel again and we will all be with you to help you, brother. All the strength and energy to get back to full strength. “I love you, beast,” he wrote.
Another former teammate who remembered Carvajal was Sergio Ramos, currently without a team: “Brother, you can handle everything that life throws your way. You have all our support and unconditional love. Big hug, friend. #LikeABeast,” he shared.
One by one his teammates shared emotional messages, with Arda Güler and Andriy Lunin being the first after Carvajal himself, in the early hours of the morning, confirmed the severity of the injury.
“Get well soon, captain. “I am sure that you will come back stronger as soon as possible,” the Turkish footballer published.
“We are all with you, Carvajal. Much encouragement. You will be back soon and much stronger, machine,” wrote the Ukrainian goalkeeper.
Vinícius, Rodrygo, Fran García, Bellingham, Rodrygo, Mbappé, Brahim, David Alaba, Dani Ceballos, Antonio Rüdiger… agreed to send “courage and strength” to the Real Madrid vice captain and assure that they “will miss” him.
For his part, Lucas Vázquez, the natural replacement in the squad in the absence of Carvajal, dedicated some emotional words to him.
“Those of us who know you know that you will win again because you only know about that. Winner and fighter, example of a person and player, we will be with you so that you can be there as soon as possible sharing moments like the ones we have had the pleasure of sharing all these years.
