Together with LAN RI and Pijar Foundation, 40 ASN Leaders Prepare Future Economic Strategy

The State Administration Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (LAN RI) is partnering with the Pijar Foundation in organizing the Level I National Leadership Training (PKN) program. (Special)

DESPITE being in the midst of various global dynamics, especially digitalization and climate change, Indonesia is targeting economic growth of 8% in the next government term.

This economic growth target is considered to require government leaders who are creative, innovative and adaptive in formulating policies and building strategic collaborations.

Based on this, the State Administration Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (LAN RI) partnered with the Pijar Foundation in organizing the Level I National Leadership Training (PKN) program, which is mandatory strengthening for ASN leaders in Indonesia.

A total of 40 ASN leaders from Echelon I and II, representing various central and regional agencies, developed a strategy plan for Indonesia’s future economic growth. Among other things, the participants carried out discussion activities and field surveys in communities that were policy targets.

In his opening remarks, Acting Head of LAN RI, Muhammad Taufiq, emphasized the importance of strong leadership in an era of change.

“The future is coming much faster than we expected. With the Government’s targets to accelerate growth through a digital and green economy, ASN leaders play an important role in encouraging organizational readiness to adapt,” said Taufiq, quoted from a statement received on Thursday (3 /10).

Meanwhile, CEO and Co-Founder of Pijar Foundation, Ferro Ferizka, conveyed the strategic role of ASN leaders in encouraging Indonesia’s competitiveness at the global level.

“Indonesia must quickly seize global opportunities, by preparing talent, innovation and public policy. If we don’t move quickly with multi-sector collaboration, this opportunity could be missed,” said Ferro.

After the event, the participants committed to implementing change projects in their respective agencies. This event is expected to be the beginning of solid multi-sectoral collaboration to achieve inclusive and sustainable national economic growth. (J-3)
