Milton threatens Florida, Miami prepares for the next hurricane – Italia Report USA

Storm Milton is coming dangerously close to Florida. The forecasts of National Hurricane Center today report that Milton will completely cross the Gulf of Mexico until impacting the west coast of Florida between next Tuesday and Wednesday. The extension of the meteorological phenomenon is such that it covers the entire state.

Meteorologists predict that the passage over the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico will significantly strengthen the raging storm into a force 3 hurricane.

Governor DeSantis has declared a state of emergency in 35 counties, including the counties of Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe. In North Florida, where the Hurricane Helene disaster is still being dealt with, residents have been urged to urgently remove debris from the streets. In the executive order, the governor directs all debris management sites and landfills in all counties affected by Hurricane Helene to remain open and allow debris releases around the clock. A necessity to ensure as much debris from Helene as possible is cleaned up and disposed of ahead of the incoming storm.

The 35 Florida counties that currently fall within the path of the potential hurricane are: Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, DeSoto, Flagler, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Contee di Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter e Volusia.
