González Urrutia asks for support from the UCV to the student community

This Sunday, the candidate of the Democratic Unitary Platform for the presidential electionsEdmundo González Urrutia, was present in front of a large group of students in the spaces of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV).

Before those present, The candidate remembered his past in the spaces of the study house and how those experiences are still reflected today.

“Seeing you with this enthusiasm reminds me of the same enthusiasm I had when I began my career at this university, when I received my degree in this same Aula Magna. A student who came from the province, who ate in the dining room, today closed due to the inefficiency of the government and the lack of resources”said.

González Urrutia explained to the students concentrated at the UCV that, if he wins the July 28 elections, Venezuela will once again have an education of enormous quality to develop more and better professionals.

“We hope that this and other public universities have sufficient budget to offer courses with excellence and professionalism”he commented.

However, he clarified that it cannot be achieved without everyone’s support: “We count on each and every one of you. The challenge is very great, but we are convinced that with everyone’s efforts we will achieve it.”.

González Urrutia was accompanied at the UCV by Maria Corina Machadoleader of the opposition and winner of the October 2023 primaries, activity that was developed despite the refusal of the rector of the university, Víctor Rago.
