Russian attacks against Kyiv and Odesa – one civilian killed in eastern Ukraine

– The enemy once again used drones against Kyiv during the night, says the head of Kyiv’s military administration, Serhij Popko, on Telegram.

– Russian drones were shot at the capital in several rounds and from several directions, he says further.

However, Popko claims that Ukraine’s air defense shot down all of them before they hit the city, and no injuries have yet been reported in connection with last night’s attack on Kyiv.

The flight alert in the Kyiv region went off three times during the night for a total of five hours, according to Popko.

Odesa mayor Hennadij Trukhanov writes on Telegram that the port city was also attacked last night and that several explosions have been reported. So far, no injuries have been reported.

The governor of Kherson, Oleksandr Prokudin, says one civilian has been killed and 15 others wounded in Russian attacks in the last 24 hours. The claim has not been independently confirmed and Russia has not commented on it either.

Both Russia and Ukraine deny attacking civilians in the war, which Russia triggered with its full-scale invasion in February 2022. Still, thousands of civilians have been killed in the more than two-and-a-half-year war, most of them Ukrainians.
